A new area has been discovered in Maple World: Edelstein
Just one more week until the release of Resistance in KMS.
In Tespia everyone can create new Resistance characters since the previous patch didn’t allow it.
A Resistance character will have its own creation background ▼
It was no surprise to me that Edelstein was released today and the music is just so beautiful!
I visited Edelstein and I made a video on my Wild Hunter, so if you want to see and hear Edelstein:

You can access Edelstein from Orbis and Victoria Island. Since my character was in Victoria Island, the only way was to go to Port Road (Six Pathways) and ask for Red Dog to let me fly to Edelstein.
The hell?! 5 minutes!! Well… It’s good timing, right? If you look at the world map you’ll see how far it is.
The Resistance (Battle Mage, Wild Hunter and Mechanic) show their real faces in their headquarters but hide their secret in civilization.
When I logged on my character, I received a quest that I had to see the Resistance instructor Sigmund, however I couldn’t find her. I tried talking her in Edelstein, but there she is just a doctor and not an instructor for Resistance.
I was a bit confused at the beginning, because where was the Resistance instructor? So I started to move around the town and keep pressing arrow up in hope to find the NPC and finally.. To access the headquarters of Resistance, you have to go through this little pipe.

This is how the Resistance HQ will look like when the Mechanic instructor will be added (August 12th) and this confirms that Mechanic belongs to Resistance. So no, he’s not a Pirate hero.
Nexon has said they will continue releasing the remaining three heroes next year.

I’m really excited for Mechanic~!! I hope this class won’t disappoint me.
I made a quick tour of Leben Mine. There are weak and strong monsters in this mine which all give decent EXP. A lot of the quests in Leben Mine involves killing monsters.
A few skill graphics were improved. Are they better than the original graphics? You’re the judge.

You probably know by now that the 10% critical damage from the Adventurer’s Critical Ring has been removed. But Nexon makes another move, they decided to remove the 20% critical damage from the Adventurer Cruel Ring in this patch.
I’m actually glad I never had the motivation to train another character for just an Adventurer ring.

In regards to where it leads to, the first says for sure “Orbis”, and the second one “Yeoseotgallaegil”, whatever the heck that is. O.o
It looks so awesome.
Very well drawn map.
Looks like maple is advancing.
Very detailed and hinted at many expansion able areas.
I am impressed by this map. Can’t wait to see the video soon.
P.S – If all of you recall,the bottom left of the map with the Hot air balloon thingy will probably be the starting point of the Mechanic Class if not a way back to Victoria Island.
Awesome where is Edelstein on the the World Map? If it even is.
Going off of the map provided at SouthPerry’s extraction of this KMST patch, it’s on a completely new continent above Orbis and Mu Lung/Herb Town.
Looks like my guess of Edelstein being distant from Victoria Island turned out to be true.

Ereb is not part of Victoria island and its the Cygnus starting place
I still count it as part of Victoria Island, as it just hovers right next to it, not to mention that you’re expected to go to Victoria Island right after the tutorial stages. Same for Rien.
From the looks of it, Resistance characters are likely to stay on Edelstein for quite a while.
Yeah… Not to mention people will be going there for training from the looks of things.
I love the BGM there, too.
they took away my crit dmg on my cruel ring? So now I just have a 5% chance of doing a crit while they have 10%? Disappoint.
Aww, all these comments are in excitement about the map, but nobody seems to be disapointed like me about the critical damage removal on cruel rings D:

Well I guess its just fair since they removed the crit damage from the critical ring, well we all can go back to lilin I myself like the 180hp boost better.

It’s not from the Cash shop. Someone on SouthPerry posted pictures; you use your monster catcher skill to catch a Panther of your choice. So far we’ve seen Blue, Red, Black, Brown, and ( I think) Green.

Edelstein is Steampunk-ish, and from the looks of it, so are both Resistance subclasses and the Engineer/Mechanic. Interesting indeed.
I knew it would be located North-East of the El-Nath Mts. And since it’s in the corner of the map, there can be the possibly of more areas coming out from that land mass

There is a possibility that Nexon will shove the whole Maple World into the map that already exists (which would be horrible and overcrowed. But what I would like to see Nexon do is spilt the whole Maple World into 6 or 8 maps.
If they split it into 6 maps, like a dye. The current World Map would only be the front of what we can see and then we can click left, right, up or down to see the other areas of the world. If they split it into 8 maps, we can look at the corners of the dye rather than the flat surface (which makes it more similar to a planet)
As for your question, I can’t foresee an answer so quickly, since I would want to know some background of the heroes. But that would be an excellence idea of Nexon to spread the remaining heroes apart. I mean, what the hell are the chances 3 or more heroes being located in such a close distance to each other?
Really? All the Heroes did fight to protect VICTORIA Island. Why would they be spread halfway across the world? It’d make sense if they were close to it. Although your idea is pretty good (props to you on that one) but I doubt Nexon would do it. It’d leave a big plot hole on how they got seperated.
Actually, from what I’ve read, Victoria was where the common folk moved to, to avoid getting harmed when the black mage attacked.
The place where Aran began, is where they lived beforehand, it was title’d “Black Road”, and as such, it could be replaced w/ a different name, and made anywhere in the maple world.
So the heroes don’t really need to be around vic.
or the hereos could have lived in vic but they were split up and sealed when they lost to the dark magician so ghost’s theory could have worked and it would be cool if the heroes are from all around the world not just next to victoria
Haven’t you read? Athena and the other lived somewhere in ossyria (the main continent) and to avoid getting in the way/getting hurt of the battle they moved to vic.
Its more likely that the place where they used to live and more likely where the great battle against the black magician took place hasn’t been added yet also just think how far aran flew that he wen’t from being in ossyria to land in rien.
And ghost I hope that too, because just adding more and more stuff to that map will make it hard to see, or they could always do what they did with vic in the main map with ossyria.
Guys, the nib monsters were dark cornians, skeles, and wyverns. And the music and bg was dragon forest. Aran and Athena Pierce were in Leafre before they fled. Athena Pierce took the little balloon thing to Vic. Aran’s iceberg might’ve floated all the way to Rien, where the Black Mage had already frozen the island? Just a theory.
well if you think mabe there was a piece of it but the island broke off if vic island?
Now I’d like to see the Maps for the surrounding areas. The entire continent looks promising to me.

LOL to those in gMS who bandwagoned to get a Cruel after hearing of the Critical Ring’s nerf. GG. This new continent and its bgm’s are very powerful and soothing. :)

according to others its cash shop content i just hope spadow can clerify this
the different colored panthers arent a cash shop i tem. instead u can hunt for brown, blue, purple and red panthers in the panther hunting place in edeilstein according to southperry.net

We don’t know, but with this place being the base of the Black Wings, you would expect the place to have a dark essence to it. Oddly enough, Edelstein gives an early industrialization era vibe to it, not a Black Magician’s HQ vibe.

Its more like a Double Jump it doesn’t really push you further just higher.
Maybe its just me but I see him going foward with that skill not up, you can also see a part of the skill left behind like with FJ.
It’s not FJ because it friggin sucks. You can jump as far as he is with max haste. <_<

No. The Aran skill can take you across entire maps and dungeons in seconds. This is like a second jump in mid air, but forward. It doesn’t take you any real distance.

from the extractions in SP, I didn’t see some of them in Spadow’s video’s perhaps those are encountered before reaching Edelstein or located in a Resistance only area.
Speaking of new monsters, Spadow, can you tell us anything about a “Dark Eye”?
Dark Eyes are like Evil Eyes, but recoloured black. I believe they’re in ellinia.
A new monster not in a new area? Then what is the purpose of the monster?
Idk but there have been a lot of new monsters since the big bang patch. But most of the new monsters are basically diff color monsters tht were already there.

There was a bug in early Resistance testing (like way back in late May) that allowed Spadow to obtain 4th job skills in 3rd job. Wild Shot and Flash Rain are skills that Spadow obtained when he encountered the bug.
They STILL haven’t fixed that glitch yet? Fail…
I’m thinking it’s actually been fixed by now, with no action taken on the characters that had already encountered the glitch. Spadow’s Wild Hunter is -really- old by KMST standards.
Spadow levels pretty slow, even when the rates are ridiculously boosted… I can lvl faster on 1x than he can on the boosted rates. And yes, to all you idiots that are undoubtedly going to try to rush in and try to flame me and say the server is on 1x now, I know, but I’m just saying in general.

If i’m honest, its really vague. I guess a gunner since everyone seems to have this though permantly burned into there syce. Since its a resistence type job theres only warrior,theif, and pirate left. So you decide- warrior, theif, or pirate
Even though I don’t remember hearing anything official from Nexon, a very high percentage of people with intelligence about the Resistance say that the Mechanic will be part of pirates.
Fiel on SouthPerry said they use Pirate equips and guns. They’re Pirates.

There’s ‘catch’ skill for Wild Hunter.
you can use the ‘catch’ skill to catch diff colors panthers at a special map
There’s have alot of panther with diff color..
catch one colour panther that you like and..mount it..
so u will saw spadow ride on yellow panther..got another colour oso instead of yellow
blue, purple and red.

So…I assume that you can catch any Jaguar at any time to change colours? Is the colour of the summoned Jaguar dependent on the colour of the most recently captured Jaguar; or can you set a default colour among all the colours you have captured (unlikely. lol)?

Remember that this is KMST not KMS. He has had his wild hunter for a while now. They just recently came out with the town in KMST.
if this is similar to what GMST had, he made any random character, went to Cody in Henesys, and from there he could switch into any job he wanted.
Music sounds very nintendo-classic-rpg-ish (I’m not sure if I’m thinking final fantasy or chrono trigger, or even harvest moon…) much like you find the little random towns that you run across.
are you able to change eye color when you create a character??

Not sure how it is in KMS, but in GMS, the Hero/Legend characters can start out with, for males, blue/green/don’t remember the third eyes, and for females, purple/red/don’t remember the third.

Well its more like the big eyes are blue, the middle size ones and the small ones are hazel for the males, for the females I don’t remember well.

Nexon is messed. They did a 48 hour rollback and only extended nx-related events.
and the worst part is THEY ARE FUCKING DOING IT AGAIN. AND THEY RESET ALL MY HARD WORK FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS. i work my ass of lvl get stuff get money and all tht. i even finished tht annoying neo city paper quest. THEN I LOG ON TODAY. BOOOM EVERYHTING IS GONE. AND THEN THEY JUS GIVE US FUCKING 5K NX FOR COMPENSATION. THIS IS FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS
I told (lied) on the forums about how the Neo City paper quest dropped nothing. And today my 15 pieces of paper went back to 2, fortunately the 2x event today (which they better compensate for the 2nd server check) got me the 18 remaining pieces to finish the quest. I think my lie made the paper drop rate increase a bit (18 in a hour even if it’s on 2x? not with the drop rate before…)
well thts good and all but im still pissed about taking away my lvl and the tub plus the new eqps i spent alot of time looking for. AND THE WORST PART IS THEY ARE CURRENTLY DOING THE SAME FUCKING THING THEY WERE DOING YESTERDAY RITE NOW. so i cant regain my lvl or the scrolls, pots , ores, millions, stars and everything i worked my ass for in the past 3 days. umm most likely because hes in a town full of dark magicians so he probably learned the dark magic and is now trying to use it against the black magician and save his town
And who told you dark means evil? I have seen some times the bad guys having light magic, your also implying that thiefs are evil since some of their skills are dark, as also the dark knight and the night walker.

Is it me or does Edelstein remind anyone else of like, an old town Germany type deal? I know someone said that the names were German, and it just kinda reminded me of it. And looking at the beginner’s outfit, it looks like a little German schoolboy yodeling type thinger. I dunno, just speculation.

We don’t know 100% the story behind the place…and agree 100% to the comment above.
Yet they can’t forgive for what had happened over 60 years ago? Kinda makes sense though, seeing that we will never get Neo Tokyo and the Oktoberfest events… But it’s pretty sad when a country is ridiculed forever due to their stupid moment in history.

Other three Heroes? So I guess the current Heroes/Legends are Aran and Evan, correct? Dual Bladers and Resistances are just other classes that aren’t related to the Legends/Heroes?

Wow, I’m actually really excited for when this gets released in GMS (and I never got this excited in all the four years of playing Maple :D ) I plan to skip over DB and train my existing characters until the Resistance jobs get released – can’t wait for the rest of the Legendary Heroes to appear but that would be a long wait… ;P
The only thing that saddens me about Resistance is no Puppeteer. The other Black Wings are there but I was really looking forward to seeing any official art of the Puppeteer… .___. *sad face* If anyone seen anything…. *hinthint* ^^
There is a Puppet monster, and also there are two more spot open in the resistance, it would seem puppets are better suited for thieves than warriors.

I think in the Big Bang Press Conference they mentioned they’ll release the warrior and thief resistance at a later point. It’s highly possible even if they didn’t say it, seeing as the Mechanic is acting as an expansion for the Resistance
I watched this conference, and they made no mention of releasing more classes after Mechanic at all. But okay, was just making sure you were assuming, which you more or less are…

well tht doesnt make sense at all. if i/l mages get ifrit then theres a chace the monster can get burned and then ice would be extremely effective on it but now its ice and more ice
…It doesn’t make sense for an ICE/Lightning mage to get the ICE summon?

it makes sense for them to get an ice summon but wat im saying is tht the fire summon was better.
oh and i think they finally figured out tht they mixed the initial summon for the i/l mages and the f/p mages
If you have a 4th job mage you’d know they knew the skills were switched… It’s kinda a major part of their story.

okay is the server offline AGAIN????? since we get the 2x experiance for the problems the last couple days i just trained my butt off and if i have to do it all for a 3rd time im gonna explode! so unless the only reason its offline is because they decided to make DB come out tomorrow im gonna be so mad! well i already am but still…..
ikr the annoying part for me was the fact tht my friends wedding which she had some fews prior got reset and everything plus i lvled and got my ass to lower ascent and i start and find out im a lvl lower plus im all the way in fucking magatia

does anyone else think that battle mage’s moves look more like the mixture of a slightly long range warrior and a dual blade instead of a mage? like with the move that pulls you closer and the tornado, besides the fact that its the same color as dual blades moves, they look like chains of hell and flying assulter… nexon needs to get more creative and make a brand new class instead of a bunch of sub-classes all releases close together
Says the loser who’s name is DBTomorrow:)? You DO realize that more or less every skill Dual Blades have is a rehash of other classes? Battle Mage is nothing like Dual Blade and scarcely has anything in common with Aran.

Now that GMS got Nexowned with the rollbacks, I’m just wondering here, after the revamp-ing of the Adventurer Rings, will they play a significant part in DPM? Both of my Crit rings have poofed overnight, and I’m really worried that this will put my Wild Hunter at a disadvantage.
So, what I really meant to say was, after the revamp, are these Adv. rings very good?
Nope. After the revamp, you’ll lose the extra damage that crit gives you. For example, if you have the Critical Ring, you can crit, but you’ll still do 100% damage instead of 110%.
They’re still the best rings and provide an average of +10% damage with both critical buffs.
What i gues of the Resistance HQ pictiures…you se the battle mage and wild huntrer leaders…and a tedy man o.O the tedy man got a gun just like a pirate and dont that robot next to him look like the mount for the new job? i guess pirate job. and i know…my english suck =P i am from sweden and we will get aran job today -_- sooo slooow. want to play as dual blade or Resistance =( but now..what do you think. is it the pirate job?

actually they were real ideas from nexon korea but the head.. guy said that even he thought that ochon and utan sounded stupid. ian is almost def not going to be the bowman btw
