KMST V339/KMS V110 ~ New Guild Skill prices & New NPCs and mobs

Today KMS and KMST released a new patch.
The new guild system has been implemented.
After seeing the changes in today’s KMST patch, I must say that Nexon wasted a good month for a new patch.

The guild skill prices are ridiculous expensive. The prices in this post are already live in KMS.
Raising your guild level will be difficult because Guild Lv. 2->3 requires 160k GP. I don’t know the GP requirement for the other Guild levels, but I believe it will be a lot.

In today’s patch it’s possible to make someone else a guild leader!
Nexon decided to disable Guild PQ in KMS and KMST for a while. Does this mean that they’ll be working on an update or something new related to Guild PQ?

Maybe. New monsters and NPCs were added and this makes me believe that there will be a new area soon.

The first NPC looks really badass. He’s Van Leon and he is the Lion King and maybe… your enemy

New monsters:

LV: 115
HP: 7,400,000
EXP: 167,972

LV: 118

There is little data about the new NPCs and monsters. But expect more information soon~

  1. ace5008 says:

i hope its a new high lvl PQ

you knew what would be cool , if the theif legend used 1 blade and 1 claw, and look like ivan on the tradeing cards

  2. Maksy says:

If you think of the NPCs as Orbis related, the ghosts look like Minerva and the guild master’s father. :)

  3. andrew says:

The guild system looked intresting, but it’s so expensive! :(
    The monsters look really tough.

  4. cheftrapu says:

    all boss level monster ?

  5. Hookshot says:

hmm… i think i smell a second Guild Party Quest
or maybe the old one is being redone as well

    my reasons?
    1) the flag in the picture is the “Guild Emblem/Symbol”
    2) 2 of the NPCs are ghosts just like the King Sherinan in gpq

    Just my Thoughts.

    • Luxeraph says:

Its more likely since their reworking the guilds and well all those monster wear armors.

Also WTH with the over use of the king pepe flags, is it that they can’t make a new one?

  6. Hookshot says:

Thats what i was thinking as well. Well now that i think of it… it probably was just redesigned

  7. FlaminWeeWee says:

are those monsters all in one map packet together? or are they fight-able 1 at a time?
    and how about their damage?

  8. plsbanthem says:

most of the new monsters seems to be based on warriors.

1 handed sword, 1 handed mace and spear… skills abit like viper’s demolition

  9. plsbanthem says:

now i start to worry, the monster that uses spear stab 3 times… similar to dragon crusher… does it means players get hit 3 times in a row?

    • thechazz says:

ofc not , oooh and hi im back :)
its just the animation , there are enough monsters that “attack” multiple times , but then you just get hit once.. its just an animation

  10. joerockshaha says:

if you look into the distant backround of the server screen it looks like a castle. Could those monsters be related to that and nexon put it in there to forshadow what is to come?

  11. Ghost says:

I believe that Nexon is starting their post-BB story. Thankfully.

Uh, Lv 5 Atk/Mag Increase Renewal Price: 10,00,000 meso?

Also i’m guessing that they recommend to fight these monsters in a party or even a guild/expedition. Since these non-bosses have the highest HP and EXP in the game. But there’s one problem I’ve seen with them, have you seen the Wea/Mag Defense on these monsters?

  12. Takebacker says:

Ok, NOW those guild skill prices are ridiculously high.

    • Ghost says:

You will have plenty of time to save up for them, since Guild Lvl 1 -> 2 takes 160k GP, imagine how much GP it will take to go 4 -> 5

      • Takebacker says:

Yeah let’s save for something that’s absolutely NOT WORTH IT. >_>

GP to level a guild is irrelevant to my point. I don’t care how hard it is to get there compared to the feasibility of the rewards. 10m for 1.1x for 30 minutes? Absolute rip off.

        • Ghost says:

It’s 100k if you are able to split the price between the whole guild, even splitting the price with 25 members is only 400k. The Guild Skills aren’t meant for 1 person to buy and benefit from, they are this expensive only towards an individual but to a strong guild these prices really aren’t cost much (the renewal prices at least).

          • Luxeraph says:

Ghost, maybe is just me but the common guild doesn’t always have 20+ member on, saying their cheap since you can divide it dosn’t mean that theres gonna be an amount of people at a said time to split the skill cost and even if there is do you think people will be running to the fm to pay someone (let say a junior) so he/she can cast the buff every half an hour?

Like I said before, if they keep those prices with the time they last, their gonna be used only on boss runs, since they have a bad cost value to use it on a daily basis.

          • Ghost says:

Of course Luxeraph, but the common guild are often weak and inactive. Only strong, organized and active guilds can fully benefit from these changes. The same goes with these new monsters. Nexon’s goal right now is to brake the solo player and turn them into a piece from a fully functioning guild machine.

Expect many more ‘common’ guilds to rise out of nowhere when the guild creation price gets to the main servers

Another option buy Nexon is to decrease the prices dramatically, but only let it effect the individual who brought it (which pretty much kills the whole whole effort motive)

          • Luxeraph says:

@Ghost, most likely but still, if your in a guild with 40~ active members would you still pay 250k per skill each half an hour?

And since people would more likely want the exp/att/crit combo thats 750k each half an hour.

Maybe I’m just poor but 1.5M each hour just for 1.1x exp, 5%+ crit rate (I don’t think most would benefit since most classes base crit is really low), and 20+ att (which IMO its like the only one along with the def buff that is really worth it (but I don’t think its actually that good since rage and the nlc pot are cheaper and are almost the same, with this only having the advantage that it might stack with other attack boosts)) its not worth it and thats taking in mind there are 40 members online to split the cost of the buffs.

But of course its more likely that just the att buff its used regularly.

          • Ghost says:

Assuming all the buffs are stack-able (if not, then Nexon’s really wasting their time with this). Then 1.5M can be worth an hour, stack it with rep and CS 2x, the Exp is 4.4x. The crit rate should increase to 10% at max lvl, but you still got adventurer rings, Thorns, SE, and other single player crit increase skills to use. And the attack in incredible.

          • DarkStylaZz says:

            @ghost
wrong, with bigbang, the 2x Reputation buff got reduced to 1.2x

          • Ghost says:

Fine, a 2x event with 2x from the CS with Guild exp makes 4.4x

  13. Maruchan says:

    Deia=Diamond
    (jap) ;D

  14. Waitin says:

hmm all of the monsters carry a weapon. i bet that either there all going to be on a new map together or a new gpq. they have pretty high hp and just look rly cool in general. :)

  15. Waitin says:

the croc’s attack has three waves, the moose attack 3 times, and the bear on wolf attacks in two directions. this will either be really really fun, or really really hard and frustrating….. i wonder -_-

    • Ghost says:

Alone, I expect to be impossible. As a party, it would be a challenge. But if Fiel is right that they will be part of a new GPQ, then they shouldn’t be a problem (as long as they don’t fight together)

  16. Kamakazi says:

From the looks of those monsters it looks like it could possibly be a castle themed area because all of those monsters look like guards to me, And Spadow will they be resetting the current GP in KMS when the new system is implemented?

    • Kamakazi says:

Oh yeah other people were saying a new GPQ that would make sense too but I hope they keep the old one still :o.

  17. Mickey says:

    Woot?! Wasteful much?

    Nexon: -epic fail-

  18. RawVoltage says:

Wow if those are regular training monsters I love Nexon. <3 :D

  19. Millus says:

    New GuildPQ?
And mooses can learn Dragon Knight skills!!

  20. tyson says:

the new guild system patch came out today(i can play again..!) and (the update was 5 hours long -_-) and then when i finally played i found out you cant drop items or sell…so now my lvl 30 striker cant advance cuz theres no room D:

  21. 거북2Pop says:

Um, can i add you in KMS tespia? lol my IGN will be 거북2Pop plz? and can i go in ur guild plz?

  22. BIGBANGBANG says:

kinda sad how they are FORCING people with potential % stuff…
No one can even train decently with normal eq anymore
It’s either get % or get lost

    • Ghost says:

If you mean competing with other players in training, then yes.
But if you train at your own pace, there’s no need for potential stats. Just follow the recommended monster to fight and you’ll have no problem fighting the monsters and gaining the levels.

  23. Horton says:

Erghh, the Exp one is expensive. That last castle monster looks pretty epic :O

  24. xRepTaRz says:

That last castle monster looks epic :O

  25. Manaphy says:

why it reminds me of Shadrian castle? <<< The GPQ Place

  26. Pingback: Lionheart Castle (MapleStory) « C0pperchan's Blog

  27. Orgeuil says:

It must be a new GPQ and I bet they are updating the old GPQ so we can gain more Guild Points (on both PQ) ’cause at least in Broa (gMS) the top 1 guild in the Honorable Rock has around 470k-480k guild points, logic tells me if going from Guild Lv. 2->3 requires 160k GP then those 480k would only get this guild to what? Lvl5 maybe? Knowing Nexon answer is yes.

Maybe both PQ’s will be for different guild lvls (and I’m talking about the members lvl)? I mean any low lvl guild with a Chief Bandit can finish Sharingan PQ, but with these high lvl monsters on the next GPQ you’ll need several high lvls to finish it. Maybe 2nd GPQ will give more Guild Points than Sharingan because it has higher lvls monsters? That wouldn’t be fair for low lvl guilds but HEY IT’S NEXON.

Also I agree with Ghost when he says: “Nexon’s goal right now is to break the solo player and turn them into a piece from a fully functioning guild machine.”

This entire new Guild lvling stuff is to make people closer and to fight for a goal, just imagine a lvl10 guild, that guild wouldn’t be made of random people, but from really close friends with the same purpose (maybe?).

But there’s a problem in my opinion, if there were already elite guilds out there, now it’s gonna get worse, even if you can create a guild by yourself people will be looking to be in a strong guild this will inflict in the guilds population. I can see again those times when only a few guilds ruled an entire server and if nexon ever expands guild capacity from 100+ members then it’s gonna be madness. Guild wars oh yes I sense wars.

Another problem is this: let’s say I start my guild on a really low lvl, get like what 50 loyal members? All low lvl too (around lvl30-50), we lvl, and lvl a lot, GPQ too, the probability of having a high lvld guild will be more than a guild with high lvl players (150+). Why? Because you are too busy killing zak/scar/targa/ht/cwkpqing daily, not GPQ or anything else, also it takes more time to lvl so guild will get even less Guild Points.
Outcome will be lvl1 guilds full of lvls 200 and lvl10 guilds with people around lvl 70. In my opinion things will get a little bit complicated in high lvld guilds (I can see guild members ditching to join others for the exp buff or att buff).

Anyways I guess we have to wait and see how things go in kms with this new system.

    • Ghost says:

I might be wrong, but GPQ doesn’t get you GP anymore.

From spadow’s original guild system change thread he said:

      3. The way to gain Guild Points (GP) has been changed.

You can gain GP in the following situations.

      – When the play time of a guild member passes one hour.
      – When a guild member in the guild levels up.
      – When a guild member purchased a guild skill.
      – When a new member has been added to the guild.

An active guild that levels from 10 to 200 shouldn’t have much of a hard time getting to lvl 10. And a guild that GPQs only might not make it past lvl 5.

If i’m right, the problem is, what use does GPQ have anymore? Hopefully they update the rewards in GPQ (and bring back the PAC!) and in GPQ2 they’ll have wealthier rewards.

  28. JunCurious says:

Allowing a passing of Guild leadership would definitely be handy.

Though, we have to remember that all the best features require trust, and communication.

Hey Spadow great to see your work! Just a few questions regarding BigBang

Are ALL skill/mastery books gone? Referring to mainly DualBlade, but 4th jobbers as well

And is he==the adventurer 3rd job advance still in elnath? With all the high level monsters and such

    Thanks!

    • nimatoad says:

sorry but this doent awnser your question but im alomost at 4th job and i was wondering do i absoulutley need matsrey books to get a skill past lvl 20?
do they work like cs skills?
      thx in adv

      • Erhad says:

You can not buy adventurer mastery books in the cash shop. They come from monster drops or you can buy them in the FM, and yes you need mastery books/skills books to raise your skills passed a certain level.

  32. frozenstorm says:

woah. if you get gp from inviting ppl into the guild, ppl can farm gp by kicking and inviting all day long ==” The new mob looks cool. looks like nexon is focusing on the guild stuff. i cant wait for that new guild system to come out in gms or msea. i can see ppl with the guild exp, rep exp, cs exp all training in 1 spot. that would be perfect.

  33. pkthunder says:

hmmmm.. this wat i think of the NPC and monsters:
1st NPC: He looks like a skilled bosshunter [Probably starts u off in the PQ hearing about some boss that took over the caste blah blah]
2nd NPC: She has a tiara and dress… meaning shes a princess… [Her scared face may or may not show that she will warn u about the boss or something?]
3rd NPC: Cape and Armor? Probably some high rank knight who will tell u the tragic story of the kingdoms failure..
4th NPC: Hmm. keys? maybe.. a treasurer? he alive but looks scared… not sure about him

Also its pretty cear that this PQ takes place in a castle in el nath..
imean princess? knights? and that castle shaped monster? kinda obvious…
also theres also the fact that the 1st NPC wears a fur cape and the 4th NPC wearing a fur hat…
then theres the monsters… ignoring the alligator and the wyvern.. the others are a reindeer, a wofl, and a polar bear..

Lastly… something dawned on me… a castle? el nath? i suddenly remembered that whenevr u take a stroll thru el nath.. on last map before the “Forest of Dead Trees”, ull notice something that catches ur eye in the backround… yup.. its a CASTLE… this may be the very castle where this PQ is located… MAYBE…

of course this is just wat I think..

  34. Thun3erB1izz says:

hey spadow i wanna ask u… gms out evan in march than msea 2 months later out evan than now dual blade out in gms de which was in july so means 2 months msea will have dual blade in september? pls help me in this spadow or anyone else T_T

    • KooT says:

I really do wish I could understand you …

    • Luxeraph says:

Spadow can’t answer this since, first he plays in kMS, second only if you work for asiasoft you would know whats their schedule on updates and third you should really revise your english grammar.

Also spadow should put at the top or someplace visible, what he does and that this kind of things are out of his hands, to avoid this questions that are unanswerable.

  35. PhotostickXD says:

Kinda Looks like Mushroom Kingdom In the Background of the selection screen. Im guessing there is a new part to Mushroom Kingdom

  36. Erhad says:

The new NPCs look like they belong in a castle (The one all the way to the right is holding a ring of keys).

    • Spadow says:

New map strings were added to the data and the new area is called ”Castle of the Red Lion King” .

      • Ghost says:

Well according to your background, we can assume it will be an extension of El Nath.

        • Spadow says:

I made that background just for fun.
I hope that after 7 years of service, they will finally reveal that castle.

So, please don’t take the background image serious. ^^

          • pkthunder says:

well i honest think that castle may be where this PQ would take place..
some of my friends used to say thats where zakum is, but i really dont believe that…

as far as i kno.. theres abosuletly no connection between that castle and any of the known el nath maps….although when i look at the dead mine map.. there is an unusually large gap around the center of it….

and on a completely random note.. i noticed that the castle appears in the big bang teaser video with a giant shiny beam… u think that means anything? or nexon just wanted to add more flashiness?

Made a post on an earlier thread, but I was going from latest to most recent.

Glad to see the prices are paid for in mesos. :P
Keeps people from draining guilds. Smart move all around. It does require for people to do quite a bit of marketing in the FM though to keep up the buffs without draining their own funds. Ah well, ya win some, ya lose some.

  38. KobeKun says:

1st mob looks like it’s using the new 2nd job warrior skill
2nd&3rd mobs look like they’re using spear crusher
    4th one looks like it’s using a Wild Hunter’s Swallow/Jaguar Roar mix
5th one looks like it’s using Spear/Sword/Pole Arm Rush
    6th one looks like it’s using Mechanic’s/Buccaneer’s Atomic Hammer/Shockwave

just my opinion. sorry if i got names wrong.

  39. Dej says:

    New post anytime soon?

  40. hookshot says:

King of red lions from legend of zelda; wind waker anyone?

  41. DylanNguyen says:

Seems like the king of lions is supposed to be sort of like your guide. He is the guy to start the pq(?).
Once ur inside u battle through those monsters and do various puzzles. Sooner or later you fight the boss, black mage or one of his minions?

  42. Sgtryam says:

Maybe this isn’t a Normal PQ, Maybe this could be parts of a new Guild Party Quest couse it’s coming so close to the guild system?

  43. FanOfSpadow says:
