The Aran character ‘Kara‘ leveled up to 200 in 68 days. It was impressive to see the speed, however when Evan was released, ‘Slim’ leveled up to 200 in just 47 days!
But with an ultimate attack, you level up faster, right?
Dual Blade was released on February 25th in MapleStory, since then a lot of people have created characters.
After 72 days, a level 200 Dual Blader was born.
Quite surprising, eh? Dual Blade is such a strong and fast job, yet the Evan character is the fastest leveler.
Kara and Slim always trained in mini dungeons and they were with more people who gave them EXP and help.
Speaking of Dual Blade…
Dual Blade can still be created in MapleStory until May 9.
I quickly created one since I had an empty slot left.

Gratz on 200. However it sad they wasted their live to acheive such a small acheivement. They could do so much with their lives. Famgblade took 3 years, and they took 47 days, just try to live and deticate ur life to God, dont waste it.

u forgot we are talking about korea here ….. u still remember that 19 ban thingy with the nightclock for kids …. those kids are taking advantage of it while they still can …. eating for like 1 minut , only pee twice a day and dont sleep…..

I love Maplestory, but i get on like 3 hours a week lmao. Ive played for 6 month and got to lvl 75 :D (highest) in 6 months they could get to like lvl 500 (if there was one) o.o lol
GMS is the same, Bishops takes 3 months to get to 200.
Don’t get too ahead of yourself, thousands (if not, millions) of people have try to look for a cure of cancer, that and getting $1Bil is a lifetime achievement, they only spent 2 months getting to lvl 200.
Also I bet their time getting to 200 was a lot easier than Fangblade’s. They probably used leech, mini-dungeons, and 8x (i heard there is a cash shop item that give 4x exp and drop). And I wouldn’t be surprised if they used a shared account. Plus with all the extra add-in that was absent during Fangblade’s era, getting to 200 is about 3x easier than before.
wel i what i think is sad is ppl then to forget what maplestory is all about … its about having fun , and when u only wanna lvl and forget the rest its not much fun.
and they cant really love the class , if u would normal lvl then u can become one with your character and not see it as a tool to be famous
It saddens me too, quite a lot of maplers are missing their “Character mastery”. And no, you cannot put any SP in it when you level because the mastery grows on you as you become more familiar with it.

How are they wasting their lives? Sure they got to 200 in a short amount of days, but the time (in hours) they spend in total would be equal to the time anyone else would spend to get to 200. They just made the process quicker by playing for more hours in a single day, rather than playing a few hours every week.
You would spend the same amount of time as them, just it would take you more days since you only play 3 hours a week. So, they aren’t spending any more lifetime than you or I…

i am no fool. but if you get to lvl 200 in 2months there is something wrong because most (99.99%) of the ppl cant do it. there for those are like those mutations which come very rarely.

I saw a cash item that gives 4x exp and drop, however I can’t remember if that was JMS or KMS
omg thats so … unfair to GMS … if we had that we could easily have 8x exp + HS + something like a ring to give us 16x (?) and we lvl in no time :)

i play for over 4 years maplstory and never got a char above lvl 100 xD my higest is a lvl 90 aran , damn i dont wanna waste anny nx to lvl him T_T
but i love making new chars because they lvl so fast … but then those dreaded lvls come …. lvl 30 – 50 is just hell … u feel all like a noob , got weak skills and first u gotta max mastery wich is a pain because u cant use anny flashy skills yet but only mastry and maybe 1 other skill wich always suk T_T then when u hit 50 u train some .. get boerd and make a new char ( thats what i always do)
You’re not the only one, a quarter million ppl in KMS made an Aran and Evan within the first day or week. Usually fast leveling really attracts players, and it’s when that fast leveling dies down is when people start to switch characters
wel i had that with other jobs to .. i just couldnt ever lvl higer than lvl 35 ( back then i was a real nub )
then pirate got released and i got the higest i ever could go in my imagination ( lv. 64) lvled him last week to 65 after 8 months of almost not playing him , and i got my aran.
but i hate evan , i just couldnt care for it to lvl it higher than 55 , not even for the glasses ! it just atks so slow , dual blade is more for me !

The people bashing the level 200 Blader are fucking retarded. The people playing the character(yes, people) got 2x shoved up their ass all the time. They usually train 4 hour shifts, so no, they do not waste their lives.

the most I could imagine them playing is 6 hours a day (not consecutive)
and actusally, people who play more and more maplestory would get more and more bored of it, and eventually they will switch with their team

Try six hours everyday for 72 days. At that time people don’t see MapleStory as entertainment, but as an assignment.
wel i know ur not saying 6 hrs like a real 6 hrs but like 7 or 8 hrs because im not as adicted … wel okay forget that part but i mean in korea people are really adicted to MS i THINK , and 6 hrs is what i normaly play … asuming that in korea they play more , so make that at least an EASY 10 hrs a day for 72 days = kids in hospitals because of broken fingers .. but then u can always be “statisfief” with the idea to get a high lvl char.
Let me add that KMS doesn’t have 2x or 4x cards. It is an actual achievement, not some spoonfed shit like the level 200’s in GMS.

Honestly, all these jobs seem kinda rushed, though. Evan looks funner than it is, and Aran gets boring past 60.
Evan never seemed very fun for me, and the Cygnus Knights were terrible, but Aran gets pretty fun again around lvl 90 or so.
Dual Blade looks like some pre-pubescent boy with no friends at school got an opportunity to make his own class in MapleStory and decided to implement everything including the kitchen sink. <_<
I agree with most of you about this dude having no life, but if you think about it, this character could have had like 3 other people working on it. They all probably have a life, but they have alot of NX to use and friends to help. Although 68 days.. thats pretty short.
Well, 68 days without any other assistance of 2x coupons and other buffs is pretty darn fast IMHO. MSEA has a aran lvl200 in less than 30 days. Same with bishop. All less than 30days. But of course, its multiplayers together with 2x coupons and buffs and rings and etc.
Btw, whats wrong with spending more NX/acash to the game? Anti-capitalism, anyone? Or you prefer government spoon feeding you a loaf of bread everyday, like a socialist or communism?
Be thankful that there are peopl still buying NX or else, you will not even be able to play this game (except private servers).
Ok your comment made me throw up. The money people have spent on NX so far could finance this shitty “game” so many play, not like there is many playing as their statistics were counted up with EVERY HACKERS ACCOUNT ;). So yea, you are a fool if you think Maple require a lot money…
It is true Maple does not require much money to operate (and it’s free for the customers!) But do you really think that it doesn’t require a lot of money to run a company? Well you’re wrong there. Nexon most likely employs at least 10,000 worldwide. And these guys don’t take no crap salary, the lowest amount one could is $50,000. That’s paying at least $500,000,000 as payment to the company employees. Plus other fiances (advertisements, company utlies, etc.) and you got a high price to pay to want the makers of MapleStory to keep on going.

The koreans are mostly maple fanatics who chose to devote 24 hours of their life to level 200. That’s why they levelled to 200 in such a short time.

That EXP thing is obviously from the test server. People in Basilmarket are notorious for the tendency to take everything at face value without doing their research first.
Also, Koreans are pretty hardcore. KMS does not have 2x cards, contrary to popular belief. (After all, no one really makes a big deal about anyone playing any other version reaching 200 in a short amount of time.) Instead, they do lots of other stuff to make up for that.
I recall something about -companies- SPONSORING famous players of World of Warcraft and Starcraft (and it’s most likely not just limited to these two games).
I know Spadow has mentioned at least once or twice that characters that reach Level 200 in a short amount of time tend to be trained by teams of 3-4 people taking shifts. I really wouldn’t be surprised if some KMSers have built up really powerful families with enough rep to afford continuous 2x EXP for weeks at a time.

No. The reason why is, for Dual Blades, their character equip window has the ‘Shield’ slot replaced with a ‘Blade Weapon’ slot.

6 hours everyday is alot, like a quarter of your life. I couldn’t even come close to 6 hours even on weekends. And you can’t break your fingers by playing maplestory, sure they will be really sore, but not broken. (unless they smash the buttons lol)

Although this debate may have died out, why exactly does it matter if they get to lvl 200 at an godly pace? Does it affect one’s life? One has to keep in mind that different people do all sorts of things so there is going to be people that find the joy in leveling up the fastest. In every single activity in the world, there’s people that go to the very extreme for their own satisfaction and as human beings we should respect it instead of calling them “addicted” “no life” “lolturdhowuplaysixhourssolongfreakrofl1337”
