Accuracy and avoidability percent change!

Update: The stats were changed back to + in version V303.

Just now I’ve been surfing on insoya and I see topics about a change in accuracy and avoidability.
I logged on Tespia and hovered the cursor on my equipment.

Guess what?
Accuracy and avoidability of every single equipment changed to %.

First HP on the earrings from Lex and now accuracy and avoidability. Do you think they will change defense as well?

    could you explain how does it work on your base acc/avoid (lets say if i have 600 avoid and item gives 10% avoid thats total of 60 avoid more from that item or what? :o) that may chagne alot of things in ms heh (even more “untouchable” shadowers anyone?)

    I suppose this would be a good thing.
    It would mean people could reach 100% Avoidibility if they had the right set up.

    Hopefully, this means more happiness for Shadowers. ^^

    I wonder how this will affect low-dex warriors…

    As if my Level 200 Shadower doesn’t get missed enough. This will be legitimate godmode depending on how it works, haha…

    I like the change overall though for other classes. Now we just need a new defense formula…

    What if the accuracy percentage is only ON the equip stats (the increase alone)? I mean like the new +10% hp earrings…
    Like for instance, if this maple weapon increases %10 of your accuracy, then if you have 130 accuracy, you would gain 13accuracy more.. so:
    (Base accuracy 130) + (10% increase from equip) = (130)+(13) =143accuracy.

    Please Spadow, check whether this is the way it is or not.

      Without ALL my equipment I have 266 accuracy and 353 avoid.
      When I only equip my Ravana Helmet (11% accuracy/9% avoidability) then I will have 295 accuracy and 378 avoid.

      Other stats of helmet: 18 STR / 20 DEX / 19 INT / 22 LUK / 58 HP / 79 MP / 101 W.DEF/ 104 M.DEF / 7 Speed / 4 Jump

        What are your character’s stats (Base DEX, Base LUK, skills that add acc/avoid), because judging from those results, you already have +%accuracy from another source (Blessing perhaps).

          Base stats: 4 STR / 94 DEX / 4 INT / 603 LUK
          Skills: Lv. 19 Nimble Body: 19 accuracy and 19 avoidability + Lv. 10 Spirit’s Blessing: 10 W.ATK / 20 M.ATK / 10 accuracy and avoidability

            This doesn’t appear to make sense.
            94 DEX and 603 LUK with 19 NB, 20 Mastery, and 10 Blessing should give you 286 Accuracy and 354 Avoid before this change; so unless they’ve changed the Accuracy and Avoid formulae, you should have base 237 ACC and 325 Avoid without considering skills. If skills add by % like items, then you’d have 353 Accuracy and 419 Avoid.

    they wont change defence. They might increase it a little, but defence comes by wearing armors.. increasing defence by % is 90% impossible on armors, not counting weapons and something that usually doesnt give you def.

    Hands % might come. (<– just a quess, but having that it would be good..)

    How would it work. Does it just take the % of the base accuracy? Or all accuracy together. Say for example you have a 10% acc overall. And you have 100 base acc. Together would be 110. Then you have a 25% acc maple weapon, would it be 25% of the base or the all together.

    so its better for me right? i am a brawler lvl 90 with max mastery, bullet time, and energy charge. So thats already 60. im dexless but my equips add 60 dex. so about 80 dex. if this is true, then i get around 70 accuracy from my equips plus 60 from my skills. if this means i have 130 accuracy isnt it better now. because my golden claw adds 30 acc, but if the above is good then it will add 39 accuracy. please halp spadow.

    266acc * 1.11 = 295.26.
    This is disregarding the additional 20dex and 22luk that comes with the helmet. If the acc-%-bonus affects equip stats, it’s supposed to be [b](266 + 20*0.6 + 22*0.3) * 1.11 = 316 acc[/b]. If the acc-%-bonus does not affect equip stats, it’s supposed to be [b]266*1.11 + (20*0.6 + 22*0.3) = 314 acc[/b].
    The fact that it remains at 295 perplexes me. There’s also the inexplicable [b]353 * 1.09[/b] avoid, being 378 instead of 384.

    They might just change your acc/avoid to %s too, so they will just add up the percentages?

    The few of you hoping that this doesn’t make it to GMS: Don’t place your bets on that happening. Think about this for a bit.

    Assuming this makes it out of KMST, this not coming to GMS is almost like asking the balance patch to not be released here as well. This is an extremely major change, as in major enough to likely heavily influence how future content is designed.

    This not making it to GMS is only going to screw everyone over in the long run, with potential annoying glitches being among some of the problems. (One patch suddenly using the % calculation, a bugfix patch like a week later changing it back, only for this to happen again a few months later, yada, yada, yada…)

    On a side note, I just realized that this change means that the Archer’s Focus skill completely outclasses the Amazon skill that only adds to Accuracy. Can my fellow Archers say hello to a huge increase in Accuracy and Avoid? (I wonder if they’ll change this into a Party skill though, just to help soften the blow to low DEX Warriors.)

    I get 405 accuracy as result from 94 DEX, 603 LUK, 19 NB, 20 Mastery, 10 Blessing… (I calculated 1 DEX as 0.8 accuracy, 1 LUK as 0.5 accuracy). How did you calculated this? And if the dex formula got changed how much accuracy is 1 DEX and 1 LUK now.

    How much avoidability is 1 DEX, 1 LUK currently now?

    Without his equipment the 266 accuracy + 11% is indeed 295 accuracy. But 353 avoid + 9% is 384.7.

      Spadow the Accuracy % from your equipment does it boost your accuracy from your base only or also from your total Accuracy? Could you test with an equipment that gives you low boost on accuracy stats (from DEX, LUK, Accuracy) and test with an equipment with high accuracy boost (from DEX, LUK, Accuracy)? And tell me the total of Accuracy on both results?

      I want to see if this is going to be worse for warrior or not. So if the % stats will be applied on the equipments. A Zakum Helmet will be +15stats, 20% Avoid, Accuracy?

      I tried to calculate it:

      An example:

      Spearman
      34dex base = 27.2 accuracy
      4luk base = 2 accuracy
      mastery skill = 20 accuracy
      zhelm 15 Luk stats = 7.5 accuracy
      zhelm 15 dex stats = 12 accuracy
      ——————-
      68.7 total of accuracy without 20% accuracy from Zakum Helmet

      I added the 20% (13.7) accuracy from the zakum helmet after I counted the total of Accuracy
      Which will be 82.4 accuracy.

      And if I calculate this accuracy as not %, the total of accuracy will be 88.7.

      Which means indeed that Accuracy in % will be worser.

      Another Example here:

      Spearman (with higher dex equipments)
      34dex base = 27.2 accuracy
      4luk base = 2 accuracy
      mastery skill = 20 accuracy
      zhelm 15 Luk stats = 7.5 accuracy
      zhelm 15 dex stats = 12 accuracy
      Cape 10 dex = 8 accuracy
      Shoes 10 Dex = 8 accuracy
      Overall 25 Dex, 10 accuracy = 30 accuracy
      Pendant 5 dex 5luk = 6.5 accuracy
      Nose 5 Dex = 4 accuracy
      —————————————————-
      125.2 + 20% (25.04%) = 150.24 accuracy (accuracy as % from zakum helmet applied after all the accuracy is counted)

      125.2 + 20 accuracy = 145.2 accuracy (accuracy as not %)

      It benefits when you got a lot of Accuracy. But if this calculation only works from the base accuracy, ofcourse it will be bad, since warriors got a low accuracy stats.

      (I don’t know if it works like this, I am just guessing and comparing it)
