The final patch of the Jump! update. Adventurer & Cygnus Archers have their skills refined, system improvements and all Party Quests are renewed!
Every Archer is entitled to one SP reset scroll, you can only get it for a limited of time.
Recommended levels have been added to the Party Quests.
I have not tried out all the Party Quests yet.

I’ve heard from friends and guild members that this revamp is a success because the experience gain is fast.
I myself tried out Resurrection of the Hob King Party Quest. What I noticed was that there are only three stages and Shammos walks a lot faster in the right direction.
I gained 2% of experience in almost 5 minutes at level 164. I think that’s pretty good.
This Party Quest used to be very boring and Nexon did a great job renewing this one.
With the revamp, Nexon added a new system. The difficulty rate of the Party Quest depends on the average level of your party members.
For example, three Lv. 130 players can rush through the Party Quest with no trouble. But, if there isa Lv. 150 and 160 in the party, then the Party Quest will become difficult for the Lv. 130 players. The monsters and boss monsters will adjust to the higher leveled players.

The rewards from the Party Quests are completely changed. Better rewards are available. The rewards are basically an upgraded version of the original rewards.
When you talk to Shammos, there is an option you can pick. The option is if you want to obtain a reward.
Number 1,2 and 3 are upgraded Rex earrings. They have a level requirement of Lv. 120 and each color adds +8 STR,DEX,INT, LUK, +10% HP, +1 weapon/magic attack and +100 physical and magic defense.
The fourth option is the Rex’s Hyena mount. I was so happy to see this option, because now you can actually get it from Shammos.
There is a catch… For each upgraded Rex earring, you need to give Shammos 50 Proof of the Hob Warrior.

The Rex boss drops it and if one party member picks it up, everyone in the party will receive one. For the Rex’s Hyena mount, you need 300 pieces…
That means you’ll have to do this Party Quest 300 times. +_+
In case you are wondering, the bag is a Party Quest item bag. You can get it from a special quest that requires you to clear a Party Quest.
In this bag, you can store up to 8 Party Quest items. Proof of the Hob Warrior is one of them. I think other Party Quests have similar items in which you have to trade it for a reward.
Overall, even though I haven’t tried all Party Quests yet, I think Nexon is doing a great job with it. The Rex’s Hyena mount gives Battle Mages a mount they can have since the Resistance class doesn’t have one aside from the Wild Hunter.

There is a new notification system~
Let me first tell you what the five icons mean.
The lightbulb is for quests, the star is for events, the purple G box is from Deia’s G-Potion supply (new guild skill), the PC icon is when you are connected to a PC Room and the heart icon is for Item Pot.
The icons appear on the left side of the scrolls.
It’s an improvement, but now it’s hard to tell whenever I have a new quest available. I’ll get used to it. :)

A reminder to distribute your AP and/or SP has been added. It’s an exclamation mark.
What do you think? It’s great and all, but shouldn’t they have it added it way earlier?

The user interface of the medal collection has been updated. A few buttons have been added and everyone can now actually see your collection by clicking on your character info. They can see how many medals you have, how they look and what the stats are.
You can now sort your medals by name or date of acquirement.

Do you see that red button? If you tossed a medal away, it will register in your collection. However, now it is possible to get back that medal!
Yeah!~ However, I’m not sure if there are limitations. You have to pay meso and each time the fee goes up. You need to pay 1000 meso for the first medal.
Look in the image above, it says I need to pay 10,000 meso if I want my 3rd medal back in my inventory.
I have a Henesys Donor King medal, but that medal cannot be re-obtained for obvious reasons.

Archer
- New skill has been added:
Archer Mastery (1st Job) – Learn the basic techniques of an archer. Increases your accuracy, avoidability, shooting range, movement speed and the maximum speed limit.
At master level, Archer Mastery increases your accuracy and avoidability by +225, shooting range by 120, movement speed by +30 and the maximum speed limit to 160.
- Master level of Arrow Blow has been decreased from 20 to 15. Damage of Arrow Blow has been increased from 200% to 220%.
- Master level of Double Shot has been decreased from 20 to 15. Damage of Double Shot has been increased from 140% to 155%.
- Focus (1st Job) has been removed.
- Eye of the Amazon (1st Job) has been replaced with Archer Mastery.
Hunter, Ranger, Bowmaster
- New skill has been added:
Double Jump (2nd Job) – Double jump in midair to a far distance.

- New skill has been added:
Physical Training (2nd Job) – Increases your strength and dexterity permanently.
At master level, Physical Training permanently increases your STR and DEX by 30.
- Silver Hawk is now a 2nd job skill. It no longer requires summoning rocks to summon the hawk.
At master level, Silver Hawk inflicts 250% damage to a monster with a 90% chance to stun. The hawk will hover 180 seconds around you.
- Enhanced Basics (2nd Job) has been removed.
- Power Knockback (2nd Job) has been removed.
- New skill has been added:
Drain Arrow (3rd Job) – Launch an arrow towards a monster to absorb its HP.
At master level, Drain Arrow inflicts 340% damage to one monster and 45% damage will be absorbed to HP.

- Master level of Mortal Blow has been decreased from 20 to 15. A HP and MP recovery effect has been added when the monster has been instantly killed.
At master level, Mortal Blow has a 15% chance to instant kill a monster when its HP is below 30%. The instant kill recovers your HP and MP by 5%.
- A new effect has been added to Dodge. After you avoid an attack, all your attacks will be critical for 1 second.
- Concentration is now a 3rd job skill. Cooldown time has been removed.
At master level, Concentration increases your weapon attack by +20 and decreases the MP you consume by 25% for 180 seconds.
- Master level of Puppet has been decreased from 20 to 15. Monsters will attack the Puppet first when it’s summoned. HP of Puppet has been increased from 8,000 to 10,000.
At master level, Puppet is summoned with 10,000 HP and stays on the ground for 60 seconds.
- Damage of Fire Shot has been increased from 450% to 460%. Damage over time has been increased from 50% to 100%.
The skill effect has been renewed. (See Ultimate Fire Shot)
- Master level of Arrow Rain has been decreased from 30 to 20. The attack speed and range has been significantly changed. Arrow Rain now attacks a monster three times.
At master level, Arrow Rain inflicts 148% damage x 3 up to 10 monsters.
- Phoenix is now a 3rd job skill. Master level has been decreased from 30 to 20.
At master level, Phoenix inflicts 360% damage up to 4 monsters with a 95% chance to stun. Phoenix will hover 220 seconds around you.
- Master level of Strafe has been decreased from 30 to 20. At master level, Strafe inflicts 180% damage.
- Thrust (3rd Job) has been removed.
- New skill has been added:
Spirit Link: Phoenix (4th Job)- Improve your damage, HP, physical and magic defense. The effect only applies when Phoenix is summoned.
At master level, Spirit Link: Phoenix increases your damage by 15%, HP by 40%, physical and magic defense by 30% when Phoenix is summoned. Also, your resistance against all statuses will increase by 15%.
- New skill has been added:
Advanced Final Attack (4th Job) – Enhances the success rate and damage of Final Attack.
At master level, Advanced Final Attack has a success rate of 70% and deals 210% damage. It also gives a permanent +20 weapon attack and a 10% increase in accuracy.
- New skill has been added:
Ultimate Fire Shot (4th Job) – Enhanced version of Fire Shot.
At master level, Ultimate Fire Shot inflicts 600% damage with 140% damage over time for 12 seconds with a time interval of 1 second up to 6 monsters.

- New skill has been added:
Elite Puppet (4th Job) – You can summon a more powerful puppet. The Elite Puppet can attack on its own and absorb HP.
At master level, Elite Puppet can be summoned for 60 seconds long. It has a HP value of 30,000, it inflicts 350% damage and absorbs 20% of the damage.

- New skill has been added:
Illusion Step (4th Job) – For a period of time, increase your dexterity and avoidability.
At master level, Illusion Step increases your DEX by +40 and has a 30% chance to avoid attacks for 240 seconds.

- Marksmanship now ignores 25% of the monster’s defense instead of 20%. A 10% increase of accuracy has been added and the 10% increase of maxHP has been removed.
- Storm of Arrows has been changed so that you can now properly use potions while attacking.
- Dragon Pulse (4th Job) has been removed.
- Hamstring (4th Job) has been removed.
- Vengeance (4th Job) has been removed.
Crossbowman, Sniper, Marksman
- New skill has been added:
Double Jump (2nd Job) – Double jump in midair to a far distance.

- New skill has been added:
Physical Training (2nd Job) – Increases your strength and dexterity permanently.
At master level, Physical Training permanently increases your STR and DEX by 30.
- Golden Eagle is now a 2nd job skill. It no longer requires summoning rocks to summon the eagle.
At master level, Golden Eagle inflicts 250% damage to a monster with a 90% chance to stun. The eagle will hover 180 seconds around you.
- Damage of Iron Arrow has been decreased from 340% to 310%. The damage penalty for multiple monsters has been removed.
- Enhanced Basics (2nd Job) has been removed.
- Power Knockback (2nd Job) has been removed.
- Dragon Pulse is now a 3rd job skill. Master level has been decreased from 30 to 20.
At master level, Dragon Pulse inflicts 295% damage up to 6 monsters.

At master level, Strafe inflicts 105% damage.
- Master level of Wind Walk has been decreased from 20 to 10.
- Storm Break (2nd Job) has been removed.
- Thrust (2nd Job) has been removed.
- New skill has been added:
Concentration (3rd Job) – For a period of time, increases your weapon attack and decreases the MP you use.
At master level, Concentration increases your weapon attack by +20 and decreases the MP you consume by 25% for 180 seconds.

- New skill has been added:
Dodge (3rd Job) – At a certain success rate, you can avoid a monster’s attack and after you successfully avoided the attack, all your attacks will be critical for a second.
At master level, Dodge has a 20% to avoid. After you avoid an attack, all your attacks will be critical for 1 second.
- Arrow Rain now attacks a monster three times.
At master level, Arrow Rain inflicts 148% damage x 3 up to 10 monsters.
- Master level of Puppet has been decreased from 20 to 15. Monsters will attack the Puppet first when it’s summoned. HP of Puppet has been increased from 8,000 to 10,000.
At master level, Puppet is summoned with 10,000 HP and stays on the ground for 60 seconds.
- Cooldown time of Albatross has been decreased from 180 to 130 seconds.
Just like with the Warrior and Magician, the Archer class will have tons of events.

.EVENT 1
When you create a new character and advance it to an Archer, you will be rewarded with a 30-days Fairy’s Pendant and an Archer Ring.
The Archer Ring increases your weapon attack by +1, maxHP by +100, accuracy by +50 and critical rate by +5%.
In addition, you get three equipment boxes. You will have your Lv 10, 20 and 25 gear (weapon not included) in no time equipped!

.EVENT 2
Advance to 2nd, 3rd and 4th Job and you will be rewarded with a x1.5 EXP buff and a special 60% scroll.
The scroll adds +3 weapon attack, +3 DEX and +1 STR.

.EVENT 3
Between level 120 and 195, level up 5 times to get a reward.
The reward from the Maple Administrator is the same as event 2.

.EVENT 4
Any Archer character whose level 70 or higher can pick a Secret Mastery Book or Special Mastery Book.
The Special Mastery Book increases the skill level to 30 at a 100% success rate.

Can anybody clarify for me:
How far apart are KMS and GMS patch wise?
Is it really 6 months?
We’re getting chaos this summer so we can expect Jump maybe next year or this winter?
It can be anywhere from 4 to 6 months.
I believe the record was us getting the Potential and Enhancement system alongside Chaos Zakum and Horntail about two months after it was released in KMS, although in hindsight, it should have been expected since the Potential system is a massive cash cow for Nexon.

certainly either archer or magician. now i think magician had best improvement as in from a to b was biggest(in dmg) but i think archer is best cuz of double jump and 160 speed+ major dmg upgrade
wow double jump is so much like flash jump lol
it’s a160 speed cap, they don’t auto get 160% they can just go past 140% if they have enough speed total and double jump is a height boost not distant meaning it is nothing like flash jump which is more distance than height

personally i thnik mage cause he have yhad reaLLY goos upgrades which make our roles in the game more noticable like how AM got wya better attack power and bish got cool support skills . i think you should make a seperate post for the poll, doesnt really make sense to put the poll on an updates that only archer’s would read, it makes it biased

I think we’re biased towards the latest improvements, especially since most of us hold the notion “the best come last” regardless if it is actually the best.
I believe the heros have come out on top damage wise, after all I haven’t seen any skill that can top a 10000% damage (especially if advanced final attack stacks with it), although they do suffer with a lack of length.
Although aside from job revamps and their events, I would choose part 3 to be the best, since a revamp for all PQs is sooo much better than a half of monster park.
Although the bad part about the PQ revamp is when GMS gets it, they’ll probably revamp CWKPQ, which is bound to be a disaster…
Too bad the new jobs will once again destroy the balance of power in the game….

Spadow, can you tell us anything more about the Saint Saver quests? You’ve mentioned it in part 1 of the patch but never gave us any details about it. Also does Nexon give you any guidelines on which medal can or can’t be re-obtained? (besides the obvious limit on the people who can have it)

3 classes down 2 more to go hope thief gets the next class revamp most likely out of all the skills id like to see some new skills for bandits to speed up training. next something new added to sins 3rd/4th job skills to make playing a hermit exciting again. and for heavens sake the time limit on shadow partner needs a increase in my opinion. im not much of a db fan but quite frankly their skills are still too overpowered so if anything was to change to them thats good but not really interesting to me.
btw spadow have you ever tried any of the thief classes besides nightlord thats the only class i have seen in any of you’re videos

Actually… No. I heard Battlemages cannot use the Hyena mount simply because they don’t get the Monster Rider skill, unless KMS changed that recently.
I voted Mages. Even though I’m an archer and think that Nexon did a great job with our Jump update (although they probably made us overpowered), Mages desperately needed a revamp for years now. They seem to be quite viable as all around attackers now.
You are correct, in GMS, resistance can get and equips the hyena, but we cant use it since we dont get the monster riding skill. we can use CS mounts. BaM’s have tele and yellow aura which helps
What this post says, I’d have to say mages as well. Only specialty they ever had was fast lvling with blizzard/meteor ect. which was stolen and of course mages got shafted. Mages over all needed way more revamping out of all of the 3 that needed upgrades. Now all that i need to see happen is a pirate revamp, i want to see those knuckles hit harder.
yes though i would have rather nexon not make archers over powered because that means nerfs in the near future and when you are playing a good char and sudennly it is mondo weak, you just kinda feel left out
Great job as always Spadow! I only wish they would develop a better system to party with people in pqs b/c in gms on my server it can still be hard to find other people to pq when no one wants to wait around for people to do it with. I think we need something similiar to instances in WoW where you queue up and it places people in a party together who put themselves in the list. Then you just go in by hitting accept in a prompt. That way we can still train while waiting, sadly I don’t think this would happen.
I agree, they should make the queue thing so that when we’re training, we can go in and PQ or PvP when it’s available. It’ll probabl happen…in 5 years. xD

1)Is the ring tradable?
2)Do all the events only apply to archers created after the patch, or do some of them apply to all archers characters. For example, #1 is obviously for newly-created characters, but event #4 seems like it could be for all archer characters.

Every Jump patch has been released alongside other new content, such as Monster Park alongside Warrior Jump, Monster Park 120+ alongside Mage Jump, and PQ revamp alongside Archer Jump.
I’d put my money on Thieves and Pirates getting revamps this summer, although one has to question the logic behind revamping pre-existing classes alongside the release of a new class. Or if not, the next two months won’t have anything to do with the new classes. (Either way, I wouldn’t expect these classes to be out for another two or three months anyways.)
I wonder what will be next voerall cause of the new hero , resistance and pirate… well i wont focus on KMS for a while ive been chosen for GMS tester and i need to focus more on GMS chos now, but i will also focus on KMS anyways.

Make a new archer -> Get it to Level 10 -> place ring in storage -> take out ring on main.

They are account sharable through storage once. After you put them in storage and take them back out, you can’t put them in storage again.
Is the ring tradable because I have an archer and I don’t want to restart it since it’s at bowmaster but 5% crit is really sweet

Well..got mixed feelings on archer updates. I like the changes, more or less but i hate the skill animations…they’re not realy much of an improvement imho, especially snipe that should look more deadly. Take pierce for example – that sucker looks lethal and that’s the way it should be. But those new animations..bleh.
Love the raising of max speed for archers – that’s a step in right directions, i would add more jump too. But flash jump? come on, i’d leave that to thieves.
Generally i think warrior update is the best. Yes i know i’m not fair (pally player), but did you see charge blow and new charge animations? Most beautiful skill out there if you ask me.
As for less eye candish reasons – warrior update pretty much did what others two didn’t – gave the classes a nice boost and new skills, yet didn’t turn them upside down and you still know warriors are warriors and what each one does best.
not flash jump; it works like wh 2nd jump thing, it’s for height not distant, theres a reason that wh had such a high speed and no jump, that’s why they had the double jump skill
and charge animations look rough and rugged, hurricane/rapid fire/ranger drain shot/albatross all look better imo

i think archer updates are good but theres no HUGE change as for other classes. mages got more new skills and warriors have better looking skills. ok that archers get a fj like skill was about time…. but i still voted for mages coz before-after compare is 100% win while others just got better…. looking forward to see “new” classes which IMO are totally not needed…. i would prefere more content, bosses, pq’s AND guild pq2 or something ;)
The Sniping skill animation is broken for me… Maybe it’s just in my computer but you should still look into it. If anyone else has that problem you should say it… At least i’ll know it’s not just me xDD

i seen the new snipe animation in youtube marksman and bowmaster really have improve just notice hurricane gotten faster and pierce gotten really strong.
I really love the changes, can’t wait to play with all the new skills myself when it gets here.
One thing I don’t really like is the removal of Storm Break, I really liked that skill, shooting a Tornado that knocks back enemies<3
But it'll be a while before it gets here so I can enjoy the skill while it lasts :P

Bah, majority vote is going to Archer just because it’s the newest piece of news and everyone is excited about it. Magician was definitely the most beneficial of the Jump updates. At least Warriors and Bowmen were still boss-worthy and could train at a good speed…. Magicians were almost entirely useless before this.

Do the effects from Dodge (3rd job) and Illusion (4th job) stack? As in, will BM’s now have 50% dodge or only 30% total?
even if their are new characters, i certainly wont quit my BaM, because it is my highest at 148, and That was an accomplishment for me since its my first 4th job char.
+ there might be less BaMs, in GMS Scania, (usually i only see 20 a day, all being lvl 100 and below, and 5 being 130+), so if there is less, than our ADA will become wanted even more (maybe). so yea thats my comment on me not making any new people, (unless its the thief hero). if i get something wrong, please correct me. Yes, i know this comment wasn’t needed, but i wanted to post something since i never do. lol

(Knowing how Nexon words things). And I agree that Nexon should’ve put the notification system a long time ago, like right after beta/first few patches.
How did mages get shafted? They are all ridiculously powerful now. Even Bishops. I don’t get it.
unless the rex mount is released as a skill, battle mages cannot use it, since they never obtain the monster riding skill
I think the Rex (Hyena) mount has its monster riding skill on its own, so Battle Mages can ride that mount.
They don’t even need a mount. Doing this is also kinda stupid. Rex’s hyena mount runs at 180% speed, the exact same as the Red Draco, or any lvl 200 mount. It kinda defeats the purpose of getting lvl 200, unless you want 2 maintain a lvl200 position in the rankings, or get echo.
I must say, Its not everyone’s goal to get level 200 at all, or have the time and patience to train all the way there no matter how easy people say leveling is, it still requires a quite bit of patience… also i personally don’t like the Red Draco mount and its always good to have more options.
Yet I don’t use my Mage anymore but when i used to, even having teleport, same for my thief having flash jump I got a mount because they just look so cool, It’s more a fact of personal likeness…
So pierce’s damage was upgraded and it still does more damage as it goes through each monster? If so, then I think the update was fair. This was mostly for bow masters not marksman but hey I’ll enjoy myself as an MM anyhow. Magician JUMP was the best by far. Though my bishop is only my mule now I will definitely enjoy it more. Also, since the HP and damage buffs are linked to a summon would that mean bosses can’t dispel them? If that were the case then there is no longer any downside to being a bowman. I say TAKE THAT to corsairs..
Yeah, I guess they decided to buff Piercing as such because it needed to be worth using with that one second charge-up. Wish I could say the same for Big Bang, though.
And yeah, it seems Spirit Link cannot be dispelled.

Do note that GMS is the only version with Level 70+ common pants, as far as I know. KMS developers don’t give a darn.

Corsairs still have their revamp coming… you know Nexon isn’t going to just let Buccaneers stay the terribly-weak way that they are, and they’ll just revamp all the pirates while they’re at it.

Warriors needed some mobility skill IMO and perhaps a drain skill too or some HP healing skill for Heroes and Dark Knights

What mage CD? Mages already got a Jump! update, with a godly skill that has the same cooldown as Snipe, which is marksman’s ultimate.
what is that pc icon for? i know it says that you are connected from a pc room, but why maple have to remenber you that you are from a pc? you get a price from it? pc rooms maple players get better stuff than laptop players?? o.o
PC Rooms give bonuses and it’s always fast internet.
PC rooms might be quite popular in Korea.
Here in the US, though, not so much. They were probably popular here during the Counter-Strike days, but now, I don’t know any that still exist.
I think they’re stores with a ton of computers that specialize in letting people come in and play whatever the heck they want.

It’s the skill that changes it.

We know what it does. It’s just that we don’t know the logic behind Nexon giving something like this to us in the first place.

If you’re talking about Android gear as in those level 70 equips that require Iruvata Boosters… Those are GMS exclusive, so Spadow wouldn’t know anything regarding that.
The main worry is that since Maker gets removed with Chaos, it may be impossible to forge any further Android equips. If it’s still possible, you’d most likely have to go with the Mining/Blacksmithing route to make them.
Well I think GMS is going to revamp masteria. Hopefully with the revamp crimson weapons an android gear will be much easier to acquire.

Quick question about this update guys. What happened to all the phoenix and dragon pulse skill books. Did they book the new skills or just vanish and did points convert from old skills into skills, like what happened with afa for warriors.
The old books will change to new books to reflect the changes made for the new skills.
So…Thiefs are last…what a let down.
Theifs have been #1 for a while. When i mean a while i mean a very long time, while pirates for that long period of time were treated like trash. It’s Pirates time to shine now.

From the looks of it, you can get special mastery books on pre-existing Archer characters.
Good luck choosing which one you want, though. Just about every 4th job skill is useful in their own way, the main ones for Bowmasters being Sharp Eyes, Hurricane/SoA, Spirit Link, Advanced Final Attack, and Bow Expertise. For Marksmen, it’s Crossbow Expertise, Snipe, Spirit Link, Piercing (which looks like it can be jump spammed now) and Sharp Eyes.
Mastery books for the already existing Bow/Crossbow Expertise, Piercing/Hurricane (the 20 versions of both skills are just about non-existant), and Sharp Eyes are already expensive enough as it is.
As someone who is already well on the way to maxing Bow Expertise and Sharp Eyes, that cuts down my choices to Hurricane, Spirit Link, and Advanced Final Attack. Choose wisely.

They don’t need to. The bird summons are already the best-looking summons in the whole game. Spirit Link also has sort of an ‘aura’ effect when the birds are summoned as well.

Mechanics and Wild Hunters don’t get nerfed.
Jump just makes the other classes catch up (or in the case of Archers, outright surpass them).
