KMST V326 ~ Just one more…

Yeah~~~~! MapleStory is currently under maintenance (patch) and will be up very soon with hopefully no extensions.
I will blog tomorrow about the new patch in KMS~

KMST was updated just before the official patch goes live.

A few significant things were changed in this patch: skills, items and the EXP given by a lot of monsters has been decreased.

EDIT: Patch has been extended by 2.5 hours. OTL

Finally the Buddy list, Party, Expedition, Guild, Guild Alliance and Blacklist windows were updated.
I don’t like this because it’s much more smaller than the previous UI.


We finally get chat tabs. Hooray~!

Two new items:


Time Traveler’s Laurel
Untradeable
REQ LV: 105
STR: +5
DEX: +5
INT: +5
LUK: +5
Magic Defense: +180
Weapon Defense: +180
HP: +180
MP: +180
Accuracy: +400
Slots: 7


Ludibrium Cape
Untradeable
REQ LV: 115

Slots: 5

Remember! These are NEW items. Your existing Ludibrium Cape will not have 420 accuracy. You’ll have to earn the new one. How? I don’t know. Maybe they will replace the old items with these two.

”info.addition.critical.damage 10” was removed from the Adventurer’s Critical Ring. I don’t know why this was removed.

Adventurer

Crusader, Hero:
– Attack Chance’s damage rate increased from 120% to 125%
– Brave Slash’s damage increased from 200% to 210%
– Enrage’s damage bonus increased from 50% to 60%

White Knight, Paladin:
– Flame Charge reduced from 135% to 130%
– Ice Charge reduced from 130% to 120%
– Lightning Charge reduced from 130% to 125%
– Combat Orders now requires level 5 Restoration
– Blast damage reduced from 700% to 280%. It now attacks 1 mob 3 times at all levels. The probability of instant death is reduced from 15% to 10%
– Divine Charge reduced from 145% to 135%
– Heaven’s Hammer damage increased from 1100% to 1400%

Dragon Knight, Dark Knight:
– Crusher and Fury are changed to have a pinkish/purple hue at level 150.

- Crusher’s damage reduced from 150% to 140%
– Sacrifice’s damage increased from 650% to 690% (hahaha – they still didn’t fix the formula hahaha)
– Dragon Roar’s HP reduction reduced from 20% to 5%. Its damage is increased from 280% to 580%. This skill now has a cooldown. Level 1 cooldown is 25 seconds and level 30 cooldown is 10 seconds.
– Dark Force (aka Berzerk) gives a pinkish/purple hue at level 150

- Beholder’s Buff WATK reduced from 40 to 35

F/P Mage, Archmage:
- Stun probability (subProp) of Teleport Mastery has been increased
– Ifrit’s damage increased from 360% to 400%
– Magic Mastery (4th job) now increases magic attack by +20%

I/L Mage, Archmage:
- Stun probability (subProp) of Teleport Mastery has been increased
– Magic Mastery (4th job) now increases magic attack by +20%

Priest, Bishop:
– Stun probability (subProp) of Teleport Mastery has been increased
– Magic Mastery (4th job) now increases magic attack by +20%

Bowmaster:
– Phoenix can now stun at an 80% rate for 1 second.

Marksman:

- Ultimate Strafe’s icon changed. It just shows the traditional strafe icon but with six arrows instead of four.

Buccaneer, Viper:
– Stun Mastery’s probability increased from 25% to 30%
– Barrage’s damage increased from 342% to 362%
– Energy Orb’s damage increased from 760% to 780%
– Demolition’s damage increased from 380% to 410%

Captain:
– Battleship now gives WATK. At max level, it gives +20 WATK.
– Cannon’s critical rate increased from 15% to 20%

Evan

- Soul stone’s cooldown reduced from 10 minutes to 6 minutes. HP recovery upon revival increased from 50% to 60%

        GMS. The only version whose fanbase does not want stuff to come much earlier than expected, because that usually means Nexon is going to bombard us with CS-related changes to hell and back.

      It’s not worthy at all. You realize how long a second is? Snap your fingers. A second just passed.

        Agreed. Phoenix stun needs at least three seconds for it to be any effective. I’d be much happier if they allowed it to inflict critical hits though. Hell, give crit to the Mage summons too, while we’re at it.

          You do realize that a stunned monster breaks out of stun once it is attacked, right? Stun (though it has its moments) Is pretty useless unless you plan on waiting a second before attacking the monster again.

            Really? Cuz on my shadower the stun is broken by attacks, but strangely, it isn’t on my Ranger. I guess I’d have to go with what has happened on my Ranger.

            Either a way, a 1 second stun is 100% useless, no matter how you look at it.

            Attack a stunned monster with ranged attacks = stun is not broken.
            Attack a stunned monster with melee attacks = stun is broken.

            Intentional or lousy programming by Nexon? You decide, but this is something that Buccaneers have been ticked off about for quite a while now.

        Very true. But I just wanted a heads up. I’ve been scouring the internet for an answer and haven’t found anything. If it requires nx in KMS then it’ll require nx in GMS for sure. If it doesn’t require nx in KMS then we don’t know. If it does require nx, this’ll be the first time i’ve spent real money on maple.

            Yeah. Dual Blades showed that they needed stuff in KMST, and Resistance isn’t, so chances are KMS won’t need NX. From what I hear from the KMST players, the only free stuff there is the stuff that’s new.

            It’s up in the air on whather or not it’ll cost money in GMS, though. I’m pulling for them to be CS exclusive classes, purely for laughing purposes.

    What’s the point in lowering the EXP to next level, if they lower the EXP you get? Why not just leave it the same? That’s like everyone lowering their prices of items, but also everyone gets $3 taken off their hourly wage. :/

      Actually it’s not like tht and WTF are u saying did u see the exps required to lvl even with exp reduced ppl can easily lvl unlike now.

      1) People could be leveling too fast. Did you know that during this whole time, the EXP rate of Tespia was 1x? People like ShiKage of SouthPerry were able to train a new character from Level 1 all the way to 10x in the past three weeks. With no 2x card. Or leech.

      2) They’re probably going to introduce quests that give a significant amount of EXP, and the developers may not have wanted grinding EXP to surpass quest EXP (when measured over the time it may take to complete the quest).

      The second part is speculation though.

        Grinding exp already does surpass quest exp though…

        Seriously, the ONLY reason people did quests was for collective purposes and for that medal, and when Master Adventurer came out nobody even bothered anymore.

        I think it’s more than likely the first one. The exp is ridiculous. At lvl 74 you can lvl by killing a whopping… seventeen windraiders on 4x. That’s insane.

          And 68 Windraiders on 1x. Which is still absolutely insane, that’s like 3 cycles through Lower Ascent, if not less.

          Oh man, everyone’s going to go KS each other to hell and back on Crimsonwood Mountain if Nexon America leaves everything as is.

    Look at them’s Accuracy!

    There must be one hell of a Accuracy formula now, since most regular jobs could easily get over 1k Acc with those two items.

    Speaking of Accuracy, is the stat-to-Acc formula still the same? (1.25 dex = 1Acc, and something similar with luk)

    But the Crit rings…. I already got one of them on my main and was about to obtain another….. is this jsut a weird glitch? are they seriously just gonna take out the main reason we got the ring? are they planning to at least compensate the players who have it?

          Critical raise in attack xD idk I was just playing around since I would also be mad if they took the critical away from the critical ring (my main is a ranger), unless they took the critical rate but raised critical damage by 50% or something.

      Judging by that line, they’ve taken out the critical damage, but not the rate.
      I imagine they’ll just use it to boost crit rates, because seeing as most 3rd/4th job skills already have a built in crit rate/dmg bonus, the ring’s damage bonus would be useless.

      tl;dr Crit dmg+: no, Crit rate+: yes

    Just curious, since I’m a Drk myself, does the red crusher that you got at 120 still exist? Does that mean that you will have Blue at 70, red at 120, and that new purpleish one at 150?

    Hmmm. Seems like majority of KMST is playing adventurers. The lack of hero and resistance buffs/nerfs could be indicating a neglect of heroes and resistance or nexon thinks they are balanced. But considering Aran and Evan currently being in the lower tier of dpm in KMST I think Nexon wants heroes catergory to be removed.

      I highly doubt the last part, in the Big Bang info convention in Korea, a person asked about the remaining 3 heroes. They answered that they will be released next year in order to continue the plot.
      This also shows that Alilatias’ theory of a hero/resistance character is probably not possible,

      Hurricane went from being a light machine gun to a gatling gun.

      It costs 400 thousand dollars to fire this weapon… for twelve seconds.

          The skill levels of the Archers’ 2nd job skills were altered so much, to the point where we will get enough SP to max EVERYTHING in 2nd job and still have 1 (or 2) SP points left over.

    Some questions I need to clarify, from the 1st Big Bang updates patch in KMS (Not KMST) (If you think its important for all of us post it in your next post)

    1) If most of the mobs level has increased, will the level requirement for most of the quest changed drastically? Also, will there be removal for max level restriction for PQ-related quest?

    2) Has the monster book been reset, or remained the same but changing the details of the monster (HP, EXP, ect)

    3) Has the drop rate of rare items from a certain mobs (Like Napendeath Honey, Flaming Feather, ect) changed too?

    4) What’s the damage capacity now in KMS? 500K or 999K? (This is because I found a video of a Marksman snipe King Slime with 500k damage)

    5) Which of the PQ is currently not in the Portal of Dimension list?

    If I have more questions I’ll post it later. Thanks and enjoy the new updates~~~

      1) I don’t know, I haven’t played the game yet because of the extensions!
      2) Monster Book feature has been disabled for now.
      3) No idea.
      4) I also don’t know, I thought it was 999k, but it’s possible that it is changed back to 500k.
      5) Right now you can access the following PQs through the Mirror of Dimension:
