Finally~ The anniversary patch of MapleStory.
What has been added?
- The anniversary stuff*
- Multi Pet system
*= You probably saw that the Lv. 77 Maple Battle Axe had the same design as the Lv. 66. It was a placeholder.
Here is the new image of the Lv. 77 Maple Battle Axe.
I read the patch note and there was no sign of the item rating & reinforcement system.
Basically you can click the hyperlinks for more information.
In regards to the new upcoming job (see URL), new skill names (delays) were added. There were a few added in KMST V306, but I forgot to mention about it. Anyway, if you want to know the new skill names, read more for a full list.

i know WHAT JOBS… an engineer because of siege and laster gun and gatling shot … i know for sure the engineer is a pirate that operates a robot..
and second job will be the job i waited so long for .. SUMMONER !!! because of GAINT … M SUMMON … WIL BEAST … EATH SLUG … M BOOSTER (M=monster .. so monster booster) IT ALL MAKES SENSE >>>>>>plz ppl tell me what u think
I highly doubt there’s a summoner there. Bowmen and Bishops have summons, so this could easily be summons for these new classes as well. For instance, the engineer could have a summon where he gets his pet mechanic (Lol) to fight alongside him…
And MBooster could easily be mechanics booster.

It sounds like a Tenvi rip-off to me. Lol. By the names of those skills, it looks like you can summon a machine and ride in it and use it as your main attack mode (like in Tenvi) and you can also use attacks while not using your robot (like in Tenvi).

Even still, these are only assumptions. Only time will tell. =]
From the looks of it, Nexon publishes that game in Japan, so it wouldn’t be a total surprise if they took things from it.

is it a new job or a legend? bc if its a legend i think it might be the pirate legend and i think it might be a gun knuckler combo or a gun with and axe on it or something?
Its going under 3000s I believe so its not a legend.
Mecha Class
Yup. A mech class.
Looks cool. I think MSupdate had Picts.
A enginner/ mecha rider……. and uses guns and pirate equips = Sky Pirate
I wanna see the 3000 Mage class be an alcimst. And a supporting class.
Skills would be like:
HP potion: party’s max HP 60% (like HB)
MP potion: party’s max MP 60% (like HB)
att potion: party m.att 12, w.att 12
healing pot: like heal
exp potion: like HS
alcimst (4th job theif) in 2nd job.
Black powder: explosive mob skill
freeze powder: freezing mob skill.
Double craft (2rd job): can make 2 things at the same time.
Tripple craft (3rd job): craft 3 at a time.
Quad craft (4th job): craft 4
speed potion: party 40% speed 20% jump (haste)
booster potion: increases party att speed (stacks with reg booster)
All things execpt heal take 3 secs to make, 2 with booster.
Alcimst can make normal potions with the maker skill.
What do you think? Cool? I want it.
(Yes, you guys can probably tell that I spend a lot of time thinking up new classes for MapleStory. For gods sake, I came up with THREE different Archer classes, all of them using DEX/INT instead of the standard STR/DEX.)
Most every high level person is going to be carrying enough pots and other stuff that already fills up most of their ETC slots. We don’t need these new alchemist potions filling up even more spaces.
I’m also thinking that these Alchemists should just have a ridiculous amount of party skills, rather than being able to make and stockpile potions for later use. (Otherwise, there would be no point in going to Level 200 with one, or even taking an Alchemist to a boss run. Almost everyone would just make an Alchemist mule to make all their stuff for them.)
No EXP increasing stuff. That screams even more leeching, not to mention the Alchemist’s role is already quite similar to that of a Bishop. We don’t need anything that essentially makes Bishops go back to ‘heal slave’ status.
Double, Triple, and Quad craft doesn’t sound feasible. How would you choose what you can craft? Also, 3 seconds is an eternity in MapleStory as far as attacking speed goes. It’s like a mage casting an ultimate. I’m thinking everything should just take 1.5 seconds to cast, with Booster reducing the time to 0.75 seconds.
My idea Alchemist class would probably do the following:
Regarding Elements and Status Effects:
- [Element] Gift: Allow party members to inflict elemental attacks. (Only applies to physical attacks.)
- [Element] Affinity: Amplify the effects of elemental attacks. (Only applies to physical elemental skills and mage spells, and does not stack with Gift. I would think Paladins would especially love this.)
- [Status] Curse: Give everyone’s attacks the ability to inflict status effects such as seal, blind, and slow. (There’s a reason why I’m not including Stun, Freeze, and Poison.)
Regarding Additional Effects:
- Diamond Dust: Allow physical attacks to ignore a % of enemy DEF, and reduce the effects of the enemy’s Super Defense Up.
- Mana Mist: Same as above, but for magic defense and Super Magic Defense Up.
- Sharpened Sight: Increase everyone’s weapon and magic attack (by a really small amount, like 10% or something).
- Mystic Shell: Increase everyone’s weapon and magic defense (I’m thinking by about 50% to make it any useful).
- Clear Mind: Reduce the MP costs of everyone’s skills.
- Recovery Rune: The party’s HP is restored by a certain % every few seconds. Does not stack with the Dark Knight’s Beholder.
- Shadow Rune: Gives everyone 20% chance to block/evade attacks. It does not stack with NL and Shadower’s Fake skill, since the evade animation is likely to be different. Instead, it will work alongside Fake.
(I’ll use logic I learned from TES IV: Oblivion mechanics – the game could probably calculate Shadow Rune first, and if that doesn’t block the attack, then Fake is calculated.)
Regarding Attacks:
- Frost Warning: Ice version of Poison Mist. Think throwing icy powder into the air.
- Fireworks: Think Ranger’s Inferno, but with the burn effect replaced by stun.
- Scorpio Sign: Summons a lightning-elemental scorpion to assist you.
- Stinger: Transforms your weapon into a magical spear to attack a single target.

What I menr by 3 secs to make is that it has a charge up like big bang. Then the potion is automaticaly used (cannot ever go into your inventory).
The only potions they could make with the maker skill are the ones you can buy from NPCs.
Doulble/tripple/quad craft would let you hold down 2 buttons, each set with a different crafting skill, and make them (charge up) at the same time. Or if you had 2 marco’d to the same button, it would craft those at the same time.
I thik it would have master level 20. At 1 point it makes it takes 2x time to craft 2. At 10 pts: 1.5x crafting time. At 20 pts: normal crafting time.
I put it in ##x not a set time because it changes with booster (-30% crafting time)

Here’s a thought. 2 Jobs of the same class, Pirate. One from the near future and one from the ancient times, but they are ancestors to eachother. One masters knuckles and melee skills, and one masters futuristic moves. The one from the past has had some problems with the Black Magician, and he thinks he doesn’t have enough power and strength to defeat him, so he calls the near future’s best known Pirate, his ancestor or so. They work together with the other jobs and continue the battle. You start out as a “Legend” Pirate, and gradually advancing into the “Future” Pirate. Combining both skills is going to be super crazy. They can master something called “Rocket Knuckles” and shoot from their Knuckles and shoot from it too! Just a thought.

Mecha Summon/Booster. The M could obviously just be abbreviated.
Now if it’s a Mecha/Robot,
I’m guessing it will be able to shoot or punch, and you probably get it from there.
Point is, if this doesn’t sound like a Mech-based class, I don’t know what does.
Hmm, I hope Nexon adds a lot of dark magic aura or some element(If they are Mechanics and Black Mage followers), If they’re just mechanic robot using guys without any elements… I don’t feel they’ll fit in with the rest of Maplestory, I know many other people feel different but I like my fantasy OLD SCHOOL, No robots x)

I doubt int/str, they only make a class that’s a byproduct to the jobs (Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, Pirate)

I imagine that these jobs have agreed to some sort of bizzare contract (like the devil’s fruit from one piece), this contract is able to give abnormal powers. The pirate class of this gets body expansion, thus gets all the melee skills (Triple Blow, Revive, Dark Chain, Super Body, Finish Attack, Quad Blow, Death Blow, Finish Blow, Dark Spear). The bowman class gets rapid projectiles, thus gets all the artillery skills (Cyclone, Lasergun, Siege, Siege2). And the magician class fuses with a robot, thus getting the rest of the skills.
Lmao, where do you people come up with this stuff?
At any rate, NexonKR is epicly late on this huge patch, but as you can tell they do have something pretty huge planned…
Just hopin one of the new jobs gives me a reason to start Maple on my computer again.

Seriously it cant be a bowman, it seems to be a combination of pirate and theif but it isnt. The new map about the new job that ChopperChan showed lookes so modern and doesnt even look related to Black Mage. But the name of the skills of the new job makes me infer than this new class/job is related to Black Mage. Nexon is clever to confuse people but its not confusing me. I am 75% sure that its not a bowman. Later on probably Nexon is planning somthing…the others related to this new class. After this class is the next hero i think maybe the bowman…although im not sure.
There are too many skills to fit these into one branch.
Well, that’d explain the fact that there’s three different Job IDs…
Think about it. All these skills, for all we know it could be an engineer class and each one has a different area of mech training. It’d be interesting and a lot more bearable than the floods of Aran/Evan/Dual Blades were.

I’m only reporting something about GMS when it is exclusive. In this case, their anniversary is nothing special.

It appears to be a GMS exclusive event. There’s nothing known about it other than what’s listed on the main GMS site.

holy crap, those are the archer skills! gat rush? TOTALLY a gun move that archers have on other games, possibly, possibly a gunslinger* move, but it sounds more like an archer when i read it, its either the pirate or archer job coming, then again i believe those are the only two left :I. but still! i mean doesnt that make sense? Of course thats most likely the archer, but alot of those skills are there, and some seem like a gunslinger/brawler hybrid! ooh it sounds epic

GMS jumped the gun with Evan!
- We still don’t have Ghost Ship PQ yet, which came out in KMS BEFORE Kerning Square/Neo City!
- The balance patch was immediately after Evan, and after that was Golden Temple!
- Dual Blade was two months after Evan.
Nexon didn’t jump the gun on anything. GHPQ and golden temple has nothing to do with evan. They don’t have any reason to implement things from KMS in order.
Besides, it’s not like this is the first time nexon brought something here really fast. Remember family system?

Then again that could be possible if they make a June/July double patch (like what they usually do in the summer) However single patch it will be in July.
Now that I think about it, I don’t want Dual Blade to come out this early if it means that Nexon of America is going to screw it over like they did to Evan.
Look at MSEA. They’re getting it later than GMS, but all signs indicate that their version of Evan is going to follow KMS (the non-screwed up non-CS version). By that, I mean no CS-only Magic Guard/Critical Magic/Magic Booster, and their glasses scrolls seem to work 100% of the time (no sign of the nerfed GMS scrolls).
I disagree. Dual Blade is already super “OMG BALANCE =/= EXISTING”, and I’d love to see Nexon screw it up in some way to make all the noobs out there NOT make one…

If it’s CS exclusive from day one though, I’d say chances are high that Nexon of America’s going to think that they can get away with doing this to all future classes.

Dude, we’ve seen this for almost a week now. General consensus is that they’re fake, if only because quite a number of them seem like recolors of other skills.
Heck, I recall one of them being a directionally reversed and recolored version of one of Dual Blade’s skills.

It’s true that they don’t have to implement everything in order, but even so, Evan and family system’s earlier-than-expected release were more like exceptions. Most everything else had been implemented in order.
That doesn’t mean they fucked up.
I wasn’t trying to say they’re fucked up, I’m trying to say that everyone shouldn’t expect to get Dual Blade so soon (ie. this anniversary).

MapleStory is one of the most popular, if not, the most popular game is South Korea. Not to forget that 1 or 2 worlds are populated with English-speaking players.
If only there was a way to play KMS without having to live in Korea :(
