I got bored of MapleStory, waiting for a new update to appear in the test server.
A couple days ago I tried a new game that just went OBT(Open Beta).
This action RPG game is called Dragon Nest and when I heard of this game I thought it would be an OK game, but it’s actually a really good game.
Dragon Nest has been developed by Eyedentity Games and Nexon Korea & America has the publishing rights.
I know that there’s a beta going on in China and in Korea. English players are lucky since Nexon America will not release one but two great quality games.
Dragon Nest in 2011 and Mabinogi: Heroes (Nexon America has renamed this to Vindictus) later in 2010.
You have to use WSAD controls to move around, there is no click-and-point combat system.
Dragon Nest boasts the proprietary, fully optimized ”Eternity Engine” which provides artful, premium graphics with low system requirements.
Each game has disadvantages, so does this one. There is a daily fatigue bar (700) and a weekly fatigue bar (1000). It decreases per dungeon/stage you enter. Yes, if you want to fight monsters you will have to enter stages/dungeons.
Every stage has different modes: Easy, Normal, Hard, Master and Abyss. So far I only tried Master and it’s freakin’ hard.
Whenever you defeat a boss in a dungeon, the screen goes like slow motion, it is really awesome.
There is another disadvantage. There are gender-specific classes. Currently there are only four classes: Warrior (male), Archer (female), Sorceress (female) and Cleric (male).
I’m playing a Cleric and I think this class is very strong.
There is only first and second job, you can advance to second job at Lv. 15. So I think there will be a third and maybe a fourth job in the future.
At level 15 I can advance to a Paladin or a Priest. Well to be honest with you, I’m definitely going Priest!!
It has very amazing, flashy and strong skills.

Of course there is PvP, but I don’t know a lot about it because I’m still new to DN.
I’ve fallen in love with this game~
I don’t know when Tespia will get an update, but hopefully soon. Maybe this week ^-^;

It’s made my Nexon Korea not America. You should be able to play considering you have a Nexon Account.
There’s a server for Nexon Korea, and a server for Nexon America opening up soon. I have neither a Nexon Korea nor a Nexon America account. What made you think that I have one? o.O

Heh, Hanabira and Aran, hopefully when Dragon Nest comes to Nexon America, you MSEAers won’t be IP blocked from Dragon Nest like what happened with GMS. Although this is assuming that AsiaSoft (or any other SEA MMO publishing company) stays far away from this game.
I want to try out Dragon Nest too. Heard about it about half a year ago. Quite neat, although chances are it’s going to fry my crappy laptop. I already have enough problems trying to not DC from a Zakum run, chances are normal gameplay in Dragon Nest is going to be worse system preformance-wise for me.
All Nexon America games are IP blocked for us SEA players…or at least, GMS and Mabinogi are. I haven’t checked the rest yet.
Does anyone have a clue when this is coming to America/Europe?

I loved Lunia too. Pity they closed down the first server and let ijji open a new one. I had to start over (I had a level fifty something Eir)…ARGH. Not to mention it lags like hell for me. I kept dying over and over due purely to lag.
Looking at all of the classes… Of the two female classes, I definitely want to be an Archer.
Problem now is, I wonder what branch I should take. Bow Master looks dull compared to Acrobat, but Acrobat strikes me as the type of class that is far more melee-oriented than ranged (and is more prone into getting crushed should a heavily-armored boss so much as look at them funny).
Perhaps I’ll wait until the third job/stage is revealed, if there are future stages. It would be interesting if each 2nd stage branch ended up getting seperate branches of their own in the third stage [warning: made up class names ahead], like Bow Master splitting into Tempest Sniper and Spirit Ranger, and Acrobat splitting into Daredevil and Assassin, although I’m not expecting them to do something like this.
I think you could roll back then shoot again.
Hope it come out in english I don’t understand the Main page also. SOB!
Wehre did you hear 2011? Clearly they said they had plans to release it in north america late spring 2010.

cause the hair style of the evan boy from the banner is very cool :D
This game sounds alot like valkyrie sky which also has stamina(daily fatigue bar in this game) and requires stamina in order to enter the dungeons/stages

I remember there was going to be a major patch this month containing high level content mentioned in the interview in December. Perhaps when GMS gets the Evan, KMST will release the content.

i now know the date that Evan comes to gms! yay! ok, so it says that evan doesn’t come until early spring. well spring starts on march 21.so depending on what time the patch is… EVAN COMES OUT EITHER LATE 23 OR EARLY/ MIDDAY 24 OF MARCH!
Evan comes out on the 30~31th.

Eyedentity Games english said Nexon would make a closed beta test of Dragon Nest in North America in early 2009. So,why doesn’t NA have it now?
